STRANGE THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN BARBARA HEPWORTH’S BED
On a recent trip to London, my friend Tracy took me to Cornwall for about four days. We drove around the entire area, eating in cafe’s and visiting shops and galleries. Then in St.Ives she took me to the home and gallery of Barbara Hepworth, famous for her sculpture and bronzes. Barbara was an amazing artist and she searched for sculptural forms to express complex thoughts about humanity, landscape, music and art. Below is a photo of her small outdoor “bedroom”. It was light and airy as you can see and only had this small single bed inside it. Perhaps it’s where she napped in the afternoon.
