How do I want to live?

This is the question I ask myself.  Life is short and embracing each and every moment as best we can is important.  When I was younger, I use to project myself 10 years into the future and then look back at what this path might look like.  Is this how I wanted to spend those years?  Did it make me happy?  If it seemed too complacent or without the challenges I sought to grow, I changed direction.  That’s what I’m doing now.  And as I let go, I am rebuilding somewhere else. There are no doubts.  Eliminating all that I’ve accumulated materially is liberating because I know that all I’ve accumulated in spirit will be coming along with me.

The Four Reminders

Life is Precious
Joyful to have
Such a human birth,
Difficult to find,
Free and well-favored.

Impermanence and death
But death is real,
Comes without warning.
This body
Will be a corpse.

Karma (cause and effect)
Unalterable
Are the laws of karma;
Cause and effect
Cannot be escaped.

Faults of samsara
Samsara
Is an ocean of suffering,
Unendurable,
Unbearably intense.

“Walking on Coals” created around 2001, 15 years after doing a 30 foot (not 12) Fire Walk with Tony Robbins and an NLP Training course.  This was in 1984 and changed the trajectory of my life.

“Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.”
