Here is the first version of “Strange Things Have No Idea” from the Strange Things Are Happening in Barbara Hepworth’s Bed book by Karen Divine (blurb published 2011). “Where to go, what to do! It’s not the world they once knew so they seem a bit confused as to how to find the dance floor.” About halfway through the story, Strange Things died so there was nothing left for me to do but to bring them back after death so I could carry-on with my work. I had much more to say and as you can see in images below, they continue to show up in my life.

“Every morning I jump out of bed and step on a landmine. The landmine is me. After the explosion, I spend the rest of the day putting the pieces together.”― Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of WritingOriginal Piece, background image printed 17 x 22 Ultra Smooth Fine Art Paper, mixed media
This is what happens during an explosion. I can draw, use pastels and glue other things onto the image. I can use one basic image as the foundation (Strange Things Have No Idea) and continue this spiral into an ongoing fantasy.
